Software patents affect us very negatively, lots of the software we use and write infringes several patents for sure, as software patents usually cover really obvious techniques (at least, for decent programmers). As we see it, software patents are yet another tool for big companies to kill small ones, flooding them with lawsuits. And they are definitely very bad for innovation in Europe.
