For us software patents are dangerous, since the large and resourceful companies get the advantage to push smaller competitiors out off the market. Small enterprises usually do not have the financial ressources to go to court with patent issues for a prolonged time. This will result in the loss of jobs and in innovations. If there are only a few or just one supplier for a certain product, they have the possibility to take the price they chose. When buying software components we will have to face higher costs and higher prices for the consumers.
