How you can help us

Registering as an SME supporter of FFII is essential to helping the campaign against software patents. Your support sends a clear signal that we represent your concerns on this issue. In addition your financial assistance helps ensure that our work campaigning against software patents can continue. We advise those SMEs who are concerned about how the directive will affect them to become more directly involved.

Lobbying in the European Parliament

Brussels office
Brussels office

The FFII invites you to meet MEPs face to face in Brussels. As part of our lobbying efforts the personal presence of corporate representatives and SMEs are among the most effective means of showing the real concern surrounding the directive.

We ideally recommend visiting between Monday afternoon and Thursday morning. The FFII can help you book a flight and train and coordinate your visit. Please have a look at the European Parliaments schedule and choose a suitable week. Contact the Brussels office of the FFII so we can help you make the necessary arrangements.

MEPs will appreciate if you are familar with the amendments they are negotiating and can articulate your interests in appropriate terms. Please read the MEP Info Page. You do not have to become an expert though, because it is likely there will be experts from the FFII to accompany you to the most important meetings.
